Mike first ever business was promoting LGBT clubnights in Cleethorpes and Lincoln (2009-2011). Great fun to run, but the word ‘busienss’ should be used loosely as the night didn’t make much. The real payment Mike gained got from it was learning how to run a business. Marketing, budgeting and sales skills that are impossible to teach in a classroom. Being able to persuade 150 people to turn up to a club a windswept Tuesday night in Cleethorpes really honed his marketing skills. The night’s reputation also lead Mike onto a successful DJ career and playing in clubs like Fuel Hull (2009-2011) and his long standing NG1 Residency (2011-2019) where he made well over 400 appearances.
